Wemelogistics Ltd

Services

Everything the move needs, under one file.

We quote each service on its own or as a door to door package. The list below is what we arrange day to day; if your move is not on it, ask anyway.

01  Sea freight

Containers, full and shared.

FCL. 20ft, 40ft, high cube, reefer, open top, flat rack and tank, on the main deepsea trades and the short sea services around Europe. Port to port, or door to door with haulage at both ends.

LCL. Weekly consolidations for pallets and part loads, priced per cubic metre or per tonne, whichever the freight measures. We tell you the CFS cut off before you commit to it.

What you get. A named vessel and voyage, the routing in writing, the local charges at both ends listed rather than added later, and the draft bill of lading for approval before issue.

Also arranged

  • Reefer cargo with temperature and ventilation settings on the booking
  • Dangerous goods to IMDG, with the declaration prepared for you
  • Buyer's consolidation for multiple suppliers into one container
  • Container inspection and loading supervision at origin
  • Marine cargo insurance, all risks, arranged per shipment

02  Air freight

When the schedule will not wait.

General air. Consolidated and direct services from the main airports, priced on chargeable weight, with the airline and routing named on the quote.

Express and time critical. Next flight out, hand carry and on board courier for the shipments that stop a line if they are late.

Charter. Part and full charter arranged where volume, weight or timing rules out scheduled capacity.

Also arranged

  • Sea and air combinations where the budget will not take full air
  • Dangerous goods to IATA, packed and declared correctly
  • Temperature controlled and pharma handling
  • Airport to door delivery with customs cleared on arrival

03  Road and rail

Europe by truck, Asia by train.

Road. Full and part loads across the United Kingdom and Europe, with tail lift, moffett and ADR where the delivery needs it. Groupage for single pallets.

Rail. Wagon and block train space on the Asia to Europe corridor, for cargo that is too slow by sea and too expensive by air.

Container haulage. Port collections, quay to door, and the return of the empty inside free time so the demurrage clock never starts.

Also arranged

  • Cross channel groupage with customs formalities included
  • Timed and booked in deliveries to retail and distribution centres
  • Multi drop distribution from a single import

04  Customs clearance

Entries prepared by us, not passed on.

Import and export declarations for the United Kingdom, tariff classification, valuation and origin, transit documents, and the paperwork that keeps goods moving when a port is asking questions.

We will tell you the duty and VAT before the goods sail, not after, so the landed cost you budgeted is the landed cost you pay.

Handled

  • Import and export entries, full and simplified
  • Tariff classification and binding ruling support
  • Transit documents and movements under bond
  • Duty deferment, postponed VAT accounting and guarantees
  • Returned goods relief, inward and outward processing
  • Certificates of origin and preference documents

05  Warehousing and distribution

Somewhere to put it when it lands.

Receipt and check in, short and long term storage, palletising and shrink wrapping, pick and pack, labelling, and onward delivery to your customers.

Cross docking straight off the container where the cargo is already sold and storage would only cost you time.

Also arranged

  • Devanning and re-palletising to your standard
  • Stock reporting and per line inventory counts
  • Returns handling and re-work
  • Bonded storage where duty is better deferred

06  Project and out of gauge

Cargo that does not fit the box.

Plant, machinery, structures and anything long, tall or heavy enough to need thinking about. Flat rack and open top, breakbulk, roll on roll off, and heavy lift where the crane is the constraint.

We plan these as projects: dimensions and centre of gravity first, then the lifting study, the lashing plan, the route survey and the permits, and only then the price.

Included in the plan

  • Lifting and stowage studies with the carrier's engineers
  • Lashing and securing plans approved before loading
  • Route surveys, escorts and abnormal load permits
  • Marine warranty survey where the cover requires one
  • Site delivery and offloading supervision

07  IT and integrations

Freight data where your systems can use it.

We have our own engineering team, which is unusual for a forwarder of our size and is the reason customers stay. Tracking, status messages and documents can arrive in your ERP, TMS or WMS instead of in somebody's inbox.

Start with the tracking platform, which comes with the booking and costs nothing extra. Add an integration when the volume makes manual updates tiresome. We will tell you honestly when the integration is not worth building yet.

Where a project is bigger than a feed, we take it on properly: scoping, build, testing against your environment, and support afterwards.

What we connect

  • Milestone and status feeds by API or webhook, pushed as events happen
  • EDI messages in EDIFACT or your own flat file format
  • Booking requests raised from your system rather than by email
  • Documents delivered automatically: bill of lading, invoice, customs entry
  • Scheduled exports into your reporting or data warehouse
  • Customer and supplier portals where several parties need the same view

Not sure which mode is right?

Send the weights, the dimensions and the date it has to be there. We will price the sensible options side by side.
