About us
Wemelogistics Ltd is an independent freight forwarder and customs broker, registered in England and Wales and working from London.
The company was set up in 2022 by people who had spent years on the operations side of forwarding, and who were tired of the same conversation: the customer asks where the container is, and nobody can answer without three phone calls.
So we built the business the other way round. Experienced operators on the freight, engineers on the information, and sales last. We do the ordinary forwarding properly, and we do the technology ourselves rather than buying a portal and putting our name on it.
We are independent, which means we buy on the open market and route your cargo on the carrier that suits the shipment, not the one that suits our contract. Where a carrier is genuinely better on a lane, we say so.
We are deliberately small. You will speak to the person who booked your freight, and they will know the file without looking it up.
Technology
Forwarding is our trade. Engineering is how we do it properly rather than a side business.
Milestones come from the carrier's own systems rather than a screenshot of a portal, so what you see is what the line published.
Vessel positions are followed by AIS between port calls, which is how an arrival date moves before the carrier gets round to changing it.
When a date slips or a transhipment changes, the alert comes to you. Chasing is our job, not yours.
Status feeds, EDI messages and documents delivered into your ERP, TMS or WMS, so nobody rekeys a milestone that we already know.
The people who write the software sit with the people who run the shipments, which is why a change takes days rather than a vendor release cycle.
Access comes with the booking and costs nothing extra. If you later want the data raw, we will feed it to you instead.

Most of our customers started with a single container they were nervous about.
